About Us
Ufton Court Educational Trust
Ufton Court Educational Trust is an experiential education charity for children. We work with schools, voluntary organisation and communities in the South East. As part of our work, we subsidise Ufton Court school trips and programmes for children from deprived areas.
We know that learning outside the classroom gives children the freedom to flourish and our programmes make learning fun, spark curiosity and create memories that last. The range of Ufton Court school trips and residential trips that we offer are designed to deepen children’s knowledge and connection to nature, history and themselves.
We give children a safe space to learn about themselves and see everything in a new light, helping them grow up more confident, curious and capable.
Our team of skilled educators know how to make learning fun and bring out the best in all children, whatever their needs and whoever they are.
Schools can join our curriculum-linked experiential programmes as often as they like, for both day trips and residentials and we welcome all educators to get in touch with us about the range of history and outdoor education school trip programmes that we offer.
Why Ufton Court
Today’s children have the worries of the world on their shoulders. School shouldn’t be one of them.
In a classroom setting, children don’t always have the space to discover what they’re truly capable of. We know learning can be different.
Set in the grounds of a historic mansion dating back over 500 years, amid 44 acres of secluded woodland, at Ufton Court school trips children experience the past while taking a breath to live in the present. And with outdoor learning areas from Ufton's very own Longhouse, Roundhouse, Barn and Farm to a Viking ship, Cabins, Woodland Classrooms and more, education is truly brought to life.
For many, a stay at Ufton gives children their first experience of surprises from the natural world; whether a shooting star, wild deer sightings, the sounds of pheasants, or fiery sunsets.
We support every child as an individual and believe there’s no ‘one-size fits-all’ way to learn. In our safe space, children learn about themselves and each other and they start to see everything in a new light.
Our devoted team of 45 work together to provide everything a child needs to flourish.
